The sandy beach at Valade Park is one of our favorite summer destinations. Now this winter, it will be our favorite snow-scape with their new Winter at Valade Park weekend events beginning December 11th (and a preview on December 5th)!
Bundle up and head to the Detroit Riverfront for Winter at Valade Park! This winter the park will feature over-sized outdoor fire places, hot drinks, marshmallow roasters, the Sled Shed with FREE sled rental when it snows, synthetic ice curling, and more. Each week will feature a new theme with special activities.
There’s food too! Enjoy takeout from great local small businesses Geisha Girls Sushi and Smokey G’s Smokehouse, located at Robert. C. Valade Park. Both restaurants are open Wednesday – Sunday from 12pm to 8pm for carryout and delivery via web services. You can also pick up a S’mores Kit for only $6.

FREE parking is available across from the park in a gravel lot located at the corner of Atwater and Chene. There are also public restrooms!
