Three days into home school and it can be a challenge to fill a 12 hour day so we’re here to help! Each day, join LittleGuide on a themed adventure full of activities, crafts, nature and games that will help you and your littles have fun at home!
Let’s get started with Peppa Pig! We could all use a good belly laugh these days and Peppa, Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig and George know a lot about being home together. Here are some activities to do on Thursday and a giveaway! Enter to win 4 passes to Peppa Pig’s World of Play in Auburn Hills that your family can use once this public health emergency is over.
Outdoor Play Forecast: Cloudy and in the 40s
8:00 AM – Dress up breakfast and make Peppa Pig Fruity Pancakes
9:00 AM – Visit Peppa Pig online and download coloring sheets and activity pages, help your kids build a Den like Peppa and let them do the activities quietly in their own ‘special’ sapce.
10:00 AM – Rain is expected this week. Put on the rain boots and jump in muddy puddles around the neighborhood. No rain, no problem. Go on an outdoor adventure walk with the free printable scavenger hunt guide and check off all that you find!
11:00 AM – Watch Peppa Pig. Don’t have Nickelodeon or DVDs? No problem, stream episodes from Peppa Pig’s official YouTube channel.
12:00 PM – Make pigs in a blanket and fruit smoothies for lunch.
1:00 PM – Quiet Time – Put the kids down for a nap or let them have Fun with Peppa Pig on the Nick Jr. app.
2:00 PM – Make a Weather Wheel to track the weather of the day and talk about climate.
3:00 PM – Visit The Weather Channel online and see what the weather is like in other cities in the country and around the world (including London).
4:00 PM – Let the kids watch you make 6 ingredient chocolate pudding (aka muddy puddles) for the night’s dessert.
5:00 PM – While you’re making dinner have the kids play Peppa’s rainy day game. Hide a toy in the room and ask the to kids find it (hide and seek with objects not people).
6: 00 PM – Put on the Peppa Pig soundtrack and have a dance party.
7:00 PM – Read your Peppa Pig books or other favorites using your best British accents. Make up an adventure for Peppa and George with help from the kids before you turn off the lights.
8:00 PM – Bedtime! You survived.
We know that times are hard and resources can be scarce. Please note that these activities are simply meant to be a guide to help you fill the day and inspire ideas that fit your family. Try all of the activities, just a couple, or binge Peppa and cuddle on couch – whatever makes your family feel happy and safe during times of uncertainty is the best thing to do.
