If you’re looking for something new to do, take a trip to Shelby Township and check out their new library, along with their other fun outdoor activities.

The new Shelby Township library is a beautiful place for kids to explore. Littles will be awestruck by the giant tree in the middle of the Children’s Department. They will also have fun playing with the life-size touch screen story book. Families can attend classes or enjoy drop-in projects in the activity room. Littles may also want to sneak into the teen area to use the light wall.

After you’ve had your fill of reading and playing, walk around the city center and find the real life, stationary train that kids can go inside and climb on.

The library is open Mondays through Thursdays from 9am to 8pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm. The library is closed on Sunday.
