Best Places To Deliver Letters To Santa In Metro Detroit
Santa visits may not be the right call for your family this year but you can still have fun with your little’s wish list. Put together your letter for Santa (make sure to include a return address) and plan a special trip to deliver it to a Santa Mailbox. There are several around town and these offer the best experience and are close proximity to delicious treats too!
Downtown Detroit
Head downtown to see the Christmas tree at Campus Martius and deliver your wish list to a special letter lighted letter box. Your family can ice skate and get a night time picture taken in the light display snowflake.
Cookies & Cocoa stop: Avalon Bakery
Downtown Birmingham
Santa’s busy this year but you can stop for a picture at his house in Shain Park and say hi to his reindeer if you’re there on the weekend. Then take your letter to the mailbox at Birch Roots Boutique, be sure to leave your return address for a letter back.
Cookies & Cocoa stop: Bakehouse46
Downtown Ann Arbor
Take a walk down (318) Main Street to find a special mailbox for Santa letters. Santa guarantees a reply to all letters that include a return address and are delivered by December 14th.
Cookies & Cocoa stop: Zingerman’s Bakehouse
Downtown Rochester
Bring your letters to the Big, Bright Light Show in Downtown Rochester and drop your letter off in the very special Santa Mailbox (339 S Main St).
Cookies & Cocoa stop: Home Bakery
Governor Warner Mansion (Farmington)
Kids, bring your letters to the bright red Victorian mailbox on the Governor Warner Mansion’s front lawn. All letters will be delivered directly to the North Pole! To make sure Santa can reply, please 1/ include a return address, 2/ put an extra stamp in the letter, and 3/ drop off your letter by December 18.
Cookies & Cocoa stop: Pappa Roti
Christmas House (Brighton)
Put 3382 Hilton Pointe Ct., Brighton, MI in GPS and plan a trip between 6:30pm and 9:30pm between December 1st and 15th to drop your Christmas letter off at one of Santa’s friend’s majestically decorated house and when you leave your return address you’ll get a reply too. UPDATE: Unfortunately, there have been a few occasions when groups have not been respectful of the property this year and the family is considering closing for the season. Please keep this in mind if you plan a visit.
Cookies & Cocoa stop: Just Baked
Canterbury Village (Lake Orion)
Take a stroll through the festively decorated, historic Canterbury Village and delivery your letter to Santa. If you plan to go on a weekend, get tickets for the Holiday Stroll for a chance to see popular characters and maybe even Santa himself.
Cookies & Cocoa stop: Yates Cider Mill (maybe hot cider and donuts for this one)
