Menorah In The D
Celebrate Chanukah at the annual menorah lighting at Campus Martius on Thursday, December 10th. The event is virtual this year BUT you can reserve a FREE Lamplighter Kit for pick up between December 7th and 10th. Kits include Chanukah candles, postcards, Gelt, Menorah in the D lighter, guide, cookies and more!
The Rink at Campus Martius
Strap on some skates and take in the city from the ice rink at Campus Martius. The Rink re-opens on December 9th and is open daily to the public. Ice skate rental is available too!
Send Letters To Santa
There’s a beautiful, illuminated sleigh shaped mailbox ready to accept letters to Santa at Campus Martius. Before or after the delivery stop by Avalon for cocoa and cookies!
Belle Isle Holiday Stroll
Bundle up and head to Belle Isle for a month long self-guided holiday excursion beginning December 4th! More details to come!
Holiday Markets @ Eastern Market
Stock up on fresh food and treats for family meals all month long at Eastern Market. Not only is the market open every Saturday as usual, there are additional Sunday and Tuesday markets for food and artisan shopping. P.S. if you need candy for stockings – stop at Rocky’s.
Museum Hop In Midtown
Escape from the cold and have family fun in the Cultural Center of Detroit. The Michigan Science Center, DIA, Detroit Historical Museum and the Wright Museum of African American History are all open to the public with increased safety protocols for guests and visits. Have fun exploring, take advantage of year-end membership discounts, and find cool and creative presents from the gift shop.
