5 Ways for Moms to Support Moms this Mother’s Day

We need each other more than ever these days, but with social distancing, it’s easy to feel alone. With Mother’s Day just around the corner, it’s not only important for our significant others to celebrate us – but for us to celebrate the Moms around us. This phase in our lives is tough and we’re all feeling the affects of it, but with one small gesture from friend to friend, Mom to Mom, we can help brighten each other’s day this Mother’s Day.
Brighten Someone’s Day With Flowers
It’s spring and flowers are starting to bloom. Order a bouquet from a local florist or pick some from your garden. It’s the thought that counts so dandelions are fair game.
Send A Meal
Bake something and drop it off, see what delivery options a favorite local restaurant is offering (whether direct delivery to a friend or a personal one you make yourself) or order through Grub Hub to save them the worry of what to make for dinner.
Give Them A Call
A phone call is nostalgically personal. It shows an effort above texting and it’s more intimate than a video chat (where lounging on the couch with kids screaming in the background has become an understandable norm). Carve out time for a call and listen to what your friend has to say.
Buy A Gift Card To A Local Business
Pay it forward two-fold. Give your friend a gift and support a local business too. Help a friend feel her best with the promise of better days ahead with money to spend at the salon, a boutique clothing store, local garden center or Mary Kay cosmetics.
Write A Review
Think of all your Mom Boss friends and leave them a review on Google or Facebook – share their business on your social channels – give them a shout wherever you can – purchase something from a small business. It all sounds simple, but it really means a lot to their business!
