It’s the unofficial start of summer and we’re ready to have some fun! Here are five fun things to do for Memorial Day weekend.

MAKE A SPLASH

The forecast calls for 80 degree weather and we’re ready to dive into summer! Check out a splash pad or set up a spot at the beach. The Troy Aquatic Center will be open too! Splash Pads, Pools + Beaches Open For Memorial Weekend

PLAN A FAMILY DAY

The new Visitor Center at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House is open just in time for Memorial weekend. Check out the new 40,000 square foot state of the art building and museum exhibits. Grab a bite to eat the the new restaurant or grab food to enjoy for a picnic in the gardens or along the lakefront.

Funland opens at Blake Farms for Memorial Weekend! It’s a one stop shop for family fun (petting farm, jumping pillows, play structures and more) and delicious donuts.

Make it a road trip and head to Frankenmuth for Balloons Over Bavarian Inn. Watch over 25 hot air balloons float up to the sky.

SOAK UP THE SUN

Put away the phones and spend time outside.

ENJOY A CLASSIC PASTIME

Get tickets to a ball game and root for the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park, Detroit City Football Club at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck or your favorite United Shore team at Jimmy John stadium during opening weekend. Do something different and let the kids stay up late for movie night at the Drive-In theater. Find a drive-in theater near you!
