Get away for the day and take a 90 minute trip to Port Huron for fun in mid-Michigan.

Make A Splash

When you need a Great Lake, head to Lakeside Beach. In addition to the sandy beach shoreline, there’s a splash pad that’s open daily. If you’re looking for another Michigan staple, visit Lighthouse Beach on Lake Huron.

Giant Slide

Stop by Palmer Park and let your littles (ages 5 and older) try out the Super Slide. The slide is open Tuesdays – Saturdays from June 15th to August 15th.

Stroll The Riverfront

Play a game of eye spy (find boats on the water and unique structures on land) and take a stroll down the Blue Water River Walk. The one-mile walk along the St. Clair River shoreline, less than a mile downriver from the Blue Water Bridge.

Visit A Museum

Keep cool at one of Port Huron’s 4 museums. Get a family pass for $25 and visit them all! Experience Michigan history and maritime life at the Carnegie Center, Fort Gratiot Lighthouse, Huron Lightship or the Thomas Edison Depot Museum.

Sawmill City

Find family fun at Sawmill City. The amusement center has a waterslide, water bumper boats, mini-golf, go-karts, bankshot basketball, train rides and more!
