5 Fun Ideas For Spring Break In Metro Detroit

Spring Break is March 28th to April 1st and if you’re looking for things to do with the kids, here are some fun family activities both in and out of town.
Make It FEEL like you went to Orlando
Plan a staycation and enjoy a full day of fun all in one place. Visit Great Lakes Crossing for an underwater adventure at SEA LIFE Michigan, hands-on fun at LEGOLAND Discovery Center (and enjoy a 20% off LittleGuide discount at both), check out Peppa Pig World of Play and go on the carousel ride in the Food Court at Great Lakes Crossings.
Next up head to the East Side and visit Universal Nonstop. The indoor amusement center has go karts, laser tag, bowling, indoor play structures, bumper cars and virtual realty!
Find a local waterpark and make a splash!
Ring In Spring @ The Farm
We aren’t the only ones happy to see the sun, barn yard animals welcome the warm weather and fun to visit in spring – you might be able to find baby animals too! Here are a few farms to visit:
- Heritage Park Petting Farm (Taylor)
- Domino Farms (Ann Abor)
- Kensington Metropark Farm Center (Milford)
- Wolcott Farm Center (Ray)
- MSU Tollgate Farm Center (Novi)
Go On An Out of This World Adventure
See what life is like on the moon. Check out Cranbrook Science’s SPACE: A Journey to Our Future or The Henry Ford’s Apollo: When We Went To the Moon‘s temporary exhibits or the permanent one at the Michigan Science Center to get a hands on look at life among the stars.
Try Something New
Think outside the box and dive into fun.
- Go skydiving at iFly
- Get creative in the Pinspiration Splatter Room
- Play a friendly game of Knockerball
Soak Up The Sun
Keep it simple and celebrate the return of sunshine and light jackets with trips to 2021’s most popular NEW playgrounds – Innovation Hills in Rochester Hills and the Paw Patrol Park at Lower Huron Metropark in Belleville.
Can’t be at home all week with the kids?
