You don’t have to travel far to have fun. Head to Michigan’s Little Bavaria for timeless family fun in Frankenmuth.


Zehnder’s Snowfest

Enjoy larger-than-life snow sculptures and beautifully detailed ice carvings at Zehnder’s Snowfest. The festival will have entertainment for the entire family in the warming tent, a fireworks display, petting zoo and children’s activities. Snowfest is January 26th to 30th.


Matilda The Musical

Muth Community Players is proud to present the 2022 Winter Musical – Matilda. Inspired by the twisted genius of Roald Dahl, the Tony Award-winning Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical is the captivating masterpiece from the Royal Shakespeare Company that revels in the anarchy of childhood, the power of imagination and the inspiring story of a girl who dreams of a better life. The Friday and Saturday performances will begin at 7pm, whereas the Sunday show will begin at 3pm, February 18th to 20th.


Enjoy a Family Dinner

Frankenmuth requires a family dinner. Turn off the phones and enjoy a fried chicken dinner (and buttered noodles) at Zehnder’s or Bavarian Inn (the American v. Lafayette of mid-Michigan). Afterwards, take a walk through downtown and find grab a sweet treat at Frankenmuth Fudge Kitchen.


Stay the night at Splash Village

Make the day last longer and book a stay at Zehnder’s Splash Village Hotel & Waterpark. The 50,000 square feet aquatic center features a six-story family raft ride and super loop body slide; zero-entry activity pool with water geysers, water basketball and volleyball, Action River, Splash Landing play area, Dumping Bucket, Giggling Gorge and Perilous Plunge 4 story tube slides, relax in the Whimsical Whirl Hot Tub or just float along the Crooked Brook Creek Lazy River.
