The weather is warming up and it’s time to get back to our favorite family activity – playground hoping! If you’re looking to change up your park routine and try something new – really new! Here are a few parks around town that your kids will love.
The new universal playground is great for all ages with plenty of tubes, slides and ‘rides’ your little will love. The park also has a nature trail, basketball, tennis and online sharing courts, baseball diamonds, a covered pavilion with a fireplace and restrooms.

Get ready to slide and climb. The Hawthorne Park playground is perfect for a game of tag with plenty of slides to chose from. There’s also a giant bug kids will love to crawl on. It’s also a short walk to Upper Silver Lake if you want to take a look at the water.

Lakeshore Park has been under construction for awhile but it was worth the wait! The new playground is great for all ages. The toddler playground is musical and alphabet themed playscape with drums and chimes. The large playground features a unique American gladiator rope cage with space for kids to climb, crawl and practice their balance. The massive slide has a rope to climb up or a ramp to walk up…a first time seeing that. There are multiple seats and swing rides for kids to enjoy too.
