Head Downriver to have outdoor fun in Taylor, Michigan with the family.

Heritage Park Petting Farm

Take a trip to Heritage Park Petting Farm for hands-on fun with animals. The municipal farm has goats, sheep, alpacas, ponies, cows, donkeys, rabbits, chickens, and piglets. Admission is $4 per person and $3 for Taylor residents. Children 1 and under are free.

The farm isn’t the only thing to do at Heritage Park. Take a walk through the botanical gardens, stroll through the historic village and in the summer cool down at the Lamarand Splash Pad!

Northwest Park

Northwest Park is a great place for a playdate. The new play structure is great for climbers and has two fast slides. There are permanent gaming stations – including foosball. Bring a tiny ball from home to play and a basketball too for one-on-one on the courts. Stroll the paved trail to the older play structure that’s fun for all ages. Keep an eye on the sky because the park is under the DTW flight path and there are plenty of planes to see up close.

During the summer months, make a splash at the public pool! Sweeten up your trip with a trip to Bliss for coffee and ice cream across the street (there’s a drive-thru)!

Midway Sports and Entertainment

Soak up the sun at Midway. Let the kids race around the new Go Kart Track, play a game of mini golf or test your skills at the batting cages of driving range.
