The Festival of Lights (also known as Hanukkah, Chanukah or Hannukkah) begins on November 28th and there are lots of events happening around town. Here’s a list of virtual and in-person events + activity boxes to to make sure you enjoy 8 “not too crazy” nights! 

 

Chanukah Carnival

Sunday, November 28th

The Chanukah Carnival is a chance to build a menorah, make cookies, craft a draidel, enjoy festive treats and more. Admission is $18 per family.

Join us outdoors or from the comfort of your car, as we kindle the “Glow in the Dark Art Menorah 2021”. Enjoy a Glow in the Dark Bike Show, free trees and Chanukah activities.

 

Menorah Workshop @ The Home Depot (Troy)

Tuesday, November 30th

Create an amazing Menorah, decorate donuts and join together in a create Chanukah party! There will be great fun, great food and a great opportunity to meet other Jewish kids in the area!

The Chabad Jewish Center in Commerce is hosting a community celebration. Come for the Bar Mitzvah, stay for the grand Menorah Lighting and enjoy a buffet dinner.

 

Ice Menorah Lighting and Gelt Drop (Troy)

Sunday, December 5

Join us this Chanukah and celebrate together with your family in an amazing way! Everyone will gather outdoors by Troy City Campus to watch a ice Menorah being carved and then lit, watch an amazing Gelt Drop, enjoy Chanukah Latkes and donuts! Participate in Chanukah games and roaming entertainment!
