2020 Guide to Metro Detroit’s Splash Parks

Nothing beats a splash pad on a summer day – swimsuits optional (you can keep your street clothes on), no sand in sight and it’s safe for all ages. Pack a picnic and find a splash park near you!
Wayne and Joan Webber Splash Park (Chesterfield)
Brandenburg Park is a waterfront park positioned on the shoreline of beautiful Anchor Bay. One of the jewels of the Township, this 17 acre parcel is located on Jefferson Avenue about ½ Mile south of 23 Mile Road. It offers basketball, tennis, and sand volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, picnic areas, boat launches, restroom facilities, an ADA accessible playground, a children’s play area, a hike/bike path and a 500 foot pier extending into Lake St. Clair. Day and seasonal passes are available for park entry.

Renee Przybylski Memorial Spray Park (Clarkston)
Clintonwood Park is 120 acres of open space. The park is open every day with the exception of New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The park features pickleball courts, basketball, 4 square and tennis courts, playground and a recently renovated spray park, baseball, softball and soccer fields, and volleyball.

Heritage Park Splash Pad (Farmington Hills)
It is a series of fountains and sprayers that is fun for kids of all ages. Plan a picnic or stop by after a swim lesson! Stop in at our snack shack for treats and refreshments located adjacent to the splash pad. The Splash Pad is scheduled to be open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Extended days may be available depending on weather or other operating factors. Farmington Hill’s Splash Pad is located inside Heritage Park on Farmington Road between 10 & 11 Mile.

Blue Heron Bay Spray Park (Hamburg)
Independence Lake’s Blue Heron Bay is the perfect place for some fun in the sun! Whether you are playing on the water play structure, gliding down our new water slides, or just catching some shade in our rentable pavilions, there is something for everyone! Your kids will be sure to have a great adventure with our water jet spider, cattails, and buckets. Our concessions area is a great place to take a break from all the excitement while enjoying a hot meal and a cold drink.

Squirt Zone Spray Ground (Harrison Township)
Kids will love to run, skip and jump through Lake St. Clair Metropark’s Squirt Zone with ground sprays that shoot up water, water cannons to spray a friend, arches that create a tunnel of water to run through and more. Located between the Olympic-sized swimming pool and the open waters of Lake St. Clair, this is a great stop on a warm summer day. Open daily 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

Have a blast this summer at Kensington Metropark’s Splash-N-Blast, containing two, 240-foot twisted waterslides and an adjacent spray area. Slide down the open slide or ride down in the dark through the enclosed slide. Have a blast in the spray area as water shoots from cannons, palm trees, serpents and a whale. The Splash-N-Blast is located on the north end of Martindale Beach in Kensington Metropark and is open daily from 11 to 7 through late summer. A vehicle entry permit is required to enter Kensington Metropark.

Seymour Lake Township Park (Oxford)
This 132-acre park has four lighted tennis courts, four softball fields (two lighted), four baseball fields, eight premier soccer fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, Smith Silo, Prince Pavilion & Hanson Pavilion, fitness trail, the “Red Flyer Run” sledding hill, 18 hole Disc Golf course, two sand volleyball courts, basketball court, Gaga Ball pit, 14 acre multipurpose complex, our Community Build Playground “Kids Kingdom”, swing sets, restrooms and the K.L.R. Splash Pad.

Veteran’s Memorial Park (St. Clair Shores)
Veterans Memorial is known in St. Clair Shores as one of our best parks! Whether you are planning a party or out on a daily stroll, you’ll be sure to enjoy everything this park has to offer. The splash pad is available for children 12 and under and for St. Clair Shores residents only.

The Jeffrey Lamarand Splash Field is located inside Heritage Park, between the Sheridan Center Open Air Pavilion and the Activity Building. It is a unique baseball-themed splash park ideally suited for children 12 and under. It is open during the spring and summer.

H20 Zone Spray Ground Park (Westland)
The Spray ground features an 18 ft. helicopter build 10 feet above the ground that sprays water from its rotors. Come have some fun in the sun and get dumped on by the huge water bucket, sprayed by the sea serpent, squirted with a water gun or sprinkled by one of our many in ground jets!

Indian Springs Spray ‘n’ Play (White Lake)
Children of all ages will enjoy the spray pad located within Indian Springs Metropark’s Spray ‘n’ Play. Get soaked by ground sprays, water cannons, and a dumping bucket. The spray park is located adjacent to other play features including a rock-climbing wall, cargo net, a fenced maze, a painted labyrinth, spinning buckets, and a hillside slide.
