2020 EASTER EGG HUNTS IN METRO DETROIT

Easter egg hunt with plastic colored eggs

The Easter Bunny is set to officially arrive on Sunday, April 12th, however, there’s plenty of opportunities to put on your running shoes and collect all of his eggs in the weeks leading up to the big day!

 

MONDAY, MARCH 23

PEE WEE EGGSTRAVAGANZA
FRANKLIN ATHLETIC CLUB (SOUTHFIELD)
Cost: $10

Welcome spring at the Franklin Athletic Club during this annual egg hunt and visit from the Easter Bunny. This event is perfect for kids ages 1 – 4. $10 per family


SATURDAY, MARCH 28

EASTER EGG-CITEMENT
CLINTON TOWNSHIP CIVIC CENTER (CLINTON TOWNSHIP)
Cost: $6.50-8.50

Children will experience fun Easter games, petting the adorable farm animals, face painting and  hunting for eggs at this special event. The Easter Bunny will be joining us for this wonderful family gathering and your child can have their picture taken with him, so don’t forget to bring your camera!

 

PIZZA & EGGS
THE LONGACRE HOUSE (FARMINGTON HILLS)
Cost: $8 (resident) / $12 (non-resident)
This is not your ordinary egg hunt! Enjoy a pizza lunch, an Easter activity, and an Easter Egg Hunt! Keep an eye out for a special guest. A bag will be provided for the search and all children will receive a goody bag.

 

BUNNY FUN
EDSEL & ELEANOR FORD HOUSE (GROSSE POINTE SHORES)
Cost: $5 – $12
Hop on down the bunny trail with your little ones for some springtime fun at Ford House. Hunt for eggs and turn them in for fun treats and activities. Visit and pet real bunnies and their farm animal friends. Run through Mr. McGregor’s garden and plant your own flower seeds. Dance and twirl in the Bunny Hop, and snap a selfie with the Easter Bunny.

 

BUNNY BOP
ORION CENTER (LAKE ORION)
Spring is in the air! Hop on over to the Orion Center for a photo visit with a special bunny, refreshments, craft projects, egg hunt with toys and candy stuffed eggs and a few other surprises. Bring your own basket for filling with candy and prizes. Youth will be broken down by age for equal opportunity hunting for all. Don’t forget your camera!

 

EGG HUNT IN THE POOL
SOUTH LYON HIGH SCHOOL (SOUTH LYON)
Cost: $3.50 – $4

Jump in the pool and make a splash! Swim to collect as many Easter eggs as you can! A few lucky swimmers will find the golden eggs for a prize! Afterwards, stay after and enjoy open swim at the pool.

TROY COMMUNITY CENTER (TROY)

Enjoy hunting for some eggs in our special egg hunting area, Easter themed crafts, and games. Don’t forget your phone or camera to take pictures with the Easter Bunny!

TRINTY UTICA (UTICA)
Cost: Free
Open to children 3 years of age through 4th grade. This year we are offering two separate event times, one at 10 am and a second at 1:30 pm. Join us and our special guest from “The Amazing Chemistry Show.” Kids and adults alike will enjoy this entertaining production filled with fireballs, colored foam, liquid nitrogen, and glow-in-the-dark solutions.

The perfect Egg hunt for your toddler to gather filled eggs, then after we will play games for prizes, and paint flower pots to plant their own flower to bring home. Ages 2-4.

Come enjoy games, crafts, inflatables, egg hunt, and more! Event is free of charge and will go rain or snow. Hunts are divided by age groups and will begin at 6:30 pm – don’t forget your basket!


SATURDAY, APRIL 4

EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA
SUMMIT CANTON (CANTON)
Cost: $5 – $6
Bring the kids out to enjoy a variety of Easter and spring-themed activities! Maximize your experience by registering for the Easter Bunny Breakfast which takes place just prior to this event in the Summit’s Grand Ballroom! We will run continuous egg hunts between 10:30am-12:30pm. Ages 11 and under.

Ferndale’s Easter egg hunt is coming to a neighborhood near you. At each site, children will have the opportunity to gather as many prize-filled eggs as they can, with one Golden Egg containing a special prize!

Join the fun and have an “egg-citing” time. Decorate eggs, an Easter bag, go on an Easter egg hunt, hear about the legend of the Easter Bunny and meet him in person. We’ll have games and fun activities to keep you hopping with excitement. Recommended for ages 3+

Hunt for eggs and turn them in for treats!  The event also includes a meet-and-greet with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny, a petting farm and trackless train rides.  Make sure to bring a basket to carry your goodies.

DETROIT ZOO (ROYAL OAK)

Join us for this Zoo-wide Easter egg hunt throughout the public landscapes of grass, sapling and clovers that surround more than 2,600 animals. Bunnyville will also feature animal enrichment activities, a puppet show, whisker painting and funny-bunny games. Photos with the Easter Bunny will be available for purchase.

EASTER FUN FEST
BUTZEL FAMILY RECREATION CENTER (DETROIT)

Detroit Parks and Recreation hosts its annual Easter Fun Fest at the Butzel Family Center in 20202. Enjoy a Petting Zoo, Face-painter, Inflatables, Photo Booth & More. Activities for youth Ages 2 – 13

 

FLOP-E-BUNNY CANDY HUNT
VICTORY PARK (BELLEVILLE)
Cost: FREE
Come hop into Easter with Belleville’s Flop-E-Bunny Candy Hunt! Along with hunting for candy, you can have the chance to meet the Easter Bunny and more!

We have an eggcellent afternoon of FREE and fun Easter activities for everyone, from tots to teens. Entertainment includes outdoor games, an Easter Egg Hunt, spring-themed activities and a visit from the Easter Bunny!

And don’t forget to hop down to Yates Cider Mill & check out the petting zoo.

The event will begin with an Easter Egg Hunt followed by the Ping-Pong Ball Drop. The bunny chopper will fly over and shower the kids with thousands of white Ping-Pong Balls. Each child will receive a special gift!

Join us for the annual Maybury Farm egg hunt for children ages 2-10. The hunt will be held at the Maybury Farm. The gates will open at 9:30 AM. Age divided egg hunts will take place. Features food vendors/trucks, the Maybury Farm animals, egg hunts, the Easter bunny, Smokey the Bear, face painting, seed planting, and more!
