12 Easy Nature Walks to Do With Kids in Metro Detroit

A family nature hike is a perfect way for kids to stretch their legs and get some much needed fresh air. Although walking our neighborhood never gets old for my little guy, I could definitely use a change in scenery after these past few weeks stuck at home. Check out these easy Metro Detroit nature trails that are perfect for little ones to walk and explore. With nature all around, there are endless things to discover, talk about or just enjoy some exercise together. Happy trails!
IMPORTANT: State parks and recreation areas will remain open throughout Michigan’s shelter-in-place order. Help keep our trails and parks open by committing to social distancing. Enjoy the outdoors safely and responsibly by staying 6 feet away from people, make others using the trail aware of your presence before you pass them, and avoid touching any displays or park benches. Most importantly wash your hands before and after any activities.
