Arts & Scraps is a Detroit nonprofit organization that annually recycles 28 tons of material to help 275,000 children think, create and learn. The Arts and Scraps Community Store is open 3 days a week to makes “stuff” and ideas available to all at the most affordable prices. The organization serves 55,000 children a year and goes into schools, community groups, after-school programs, non-profit organizations and more (and even sometimes back to its center) to teach about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math through Art Integration and Open Ended learning.
