The holiday season is officially here and we’re excited for all things that can brighten up our festivities. Bundle up and head outside for a family walk under LED lights at the zoo, on a nature trail or in a historic village at a holiday event happening in Michigan and Metro Detroit.

Celebration of Lights (Troy)

Full of candlelight, luminaries, and stories to cheer your spirit in the darkest days, see the Troy Village light up as you’ve never seen it before!

  • Dates: November 17-21, 23-25 & 30; December 1 -19 (closed Sundays)
  • Admission: $0- $7

Blizzard of Oz (Taylor)

Take a stroll down the Holiday Trail in Heritage Park to see your favorite characters and enjoy the magic of the season with full-building projections, more than 100 lighted Christmas trees, larger-than-life characters and more than 200,000 holiday lights.

  • Dates: November 18 – January 10
  • Admission: $15-$25

Wild Lights (Royal Oak):

The Detroit Zoo will be aglow for 32 magical nights with more than five million LED lights illuminating trees, buildings and over 280 sculptures throughout the front half of the Zoo. Experience the magic of the Detroit Zoo in winter as you take in the lights, sights and sounds of the season for guests of all ages.

  • Dates: November 20 – January 3
  • Admission: $15 – $20

Wonderland of Lights (Lansing):

Thousands of lights create extraordinary holiday lights displays at the 26th annual Wonderland of Lights! Stroll around the zoo during a magical Michigan winter evening and take in the twinkling light displays across the zoo while holiday music plays. Grab a goodie bag for children as you leave to take home and enjoy.

  • Dates: November 21- December 27
  • Admission: $5 – $9

Canterbury Village Holiday Stroll (Orion Township)

Enjoy a family stroll through Canterbury Village and experience multiple encounters with characters along a path lit by Red & Green glowing lamp posts and Holiday lights. Stop along the way for a photo opportunity at your favorite scene.

  • Dates: December 3 -6, 11 – 13, 18-20, 26 & 27
  • Admission: $5-10

Holiday Nights (Dearborn)

Holiday Nights in Greenfield Village offers yuletide fun for all ages. Admission includes FREE carousel rides, cooking demonstrations, Carolers and live music performances, Santa and live reindeer, skilled artisans demonstrations, and more!

  • Dates: December4-6, 11-13, 15-23, 26-28 
  • Admission: $20- $30

Country Christmas (Northville) – CANCELLED

Enjoy holiday decorations, farm animals, a photo op in an antique sleigh in the century-old barn, holiday music & a bonfire at Maybury Farm.

  • Dates: December 5, 6, 12 & 13
  • Admission: $4

Night of Lights (Livonia)

Stroll through Greenmead Historic Village in Livonia to see the houses lit for the season an have a special visit with Santa.

  • Dates: December 5 & 6, 12 & 13, 19 & 20
  • Admission: FREE

Trail of Lights (Davison)

Take a horse drawn carriage ride or leisurely stroll through the lights at the Robert Williams Nature & Historical Learning Center.

  • Dates: December 6, 11-13, 19-21 & 26
  • Admission: $10-12
