Moms across Metro Detroit are ready to meet up, connect, and have fun. If you’re in need of a little socialization for both you and your littles, or are just looking for an excuse to get out of the house, here are some amazing local mom groups to help you find your #MomSquad. 

MOPS (Multiple Locations)

Whether you are a soon-to-be mom, first-time mom, or seventh-time mom,  an adoptive mom, young mom, seasoned mom, foster mom, stepmom, or any other type of mom, there is space for you at MOPs. MOPs is a national organization with local networks that host monthly meet-ups where moms can come together for support and friendship while their littles are being cared for on-site.

MOMS Club (Multiple Locations) 

MOMS Club is a support group designed just for you, the at-home mother! You are interested in the world around you, want a variety of activities for you and your children, and are proud of your choice of at-home mothering for your families! We know because we’re at-home mothers, too!

Detroit Mama Hub (Detroit) 

Detroit Mama Hub is an inclusive space that provides support, education, and wellness services that allow new and expectant mothers to grow and thrive. The Hub offers programs, classes, and resources to support mothers through pregnancy and the first two years of parenthood.

Honey. Space for Moms (Ferndale) 

Honey Space is a clubhouse, co-working space, and wellness center specializing in supporting moms and moms-to-be. Honey hosts specialized moms groups (where new moms become best friends), on-site childcare (empowering you to do you), yoga classes, therapy (with specialized therapists who get moms), lactation + feeding services, childbirth education, and more.

Nature’s Playhouse (Ferndale) 

Nature’s Playhouse provides valuable resources designed to support and enrich parents, parents-to-be, caregivers and families. From birthing and lactation support to prenatal yoga and mommy & me classes Nature’s Playhouse offers wellness services to help you feel whole.

goMOMS – Greater Oakland Mothers of Multiples (Oakland County) 

The group brings together mothers of twins, triplets, quadruplets (or more!) for support in the unique situations we encounter with pregnancy and raising multiples. goMOMS serves Oakland County and has member-only events, mom-to-mom sales, and more. 

Free Forest School (Metro Detroit) 

Free Forest School of Detroit is a free group, open to young children and their parents or caregivers. This is a welcoming and non-judgmental group where parents and caregivers can practice giving children space and autonomy to explore and create in nature.

Free Forest School of Detroit meets weekly throughout the year at nearby wilderness areas (meetups put on hold during COVID). The group shares a snack, takes a hike, plays in the woods, and enjoy circle time. Parents get a chance to unplug and step back… Kids and their imaginations take the lead!

Hike it Baby (Metro Detroit) 

At Hike it Baby, we create communities and host events that are welcoming to every family, regardless of background, race, gender, religion, ability, parenting style, family dynamic and more. Hike it Baby creates opportunities and removes barriers to access so families with babies and young children can take their first steps outside. We believe all families have the right to connect with nature, benefit from spending time outdoors, and be inspired to a lifelong love of nature.

Holistic Moms Network (Metro Detroit) 

A safe, encouraging community where families find support and resources for natural living and gentle parenting. The Holistic Moms Network connects parents and creates supportive communities, both in person, through local chapters, and online. The group also focuses on helping parents learn about holistic and green living.

Punky Moms (Metro Detroit) 

Welcome to Punky Moms Detroit! Come and find out about and whether you are a new parent or have been doing this gig for a while, raising kids is probably one of the most awesome, stressful, inspiring, fulfilling, tears in your coffee, rides of your life and we can’t wait to get to know you. Punky Moms plans meet ups, provides resources, and is just plain fun!

Moms of South Lyon (South Lyon) 

The Moms of South Lyon is a club offering support and fun, daytime/ nighttime activities to moms in South Lyon/ New Hudson area. It’s a local, social club designed to offer support to moms. Meetings are on weekdays during the daytime and have activities for moms and kids to do together, such as playgroups, outings, and tours. It’s a great way for both moms and kids to have fun and meet friends in South Lyon.

The Grosse Pointe Moms’ Circle (Grosse Pointe/Harper Woods)

Stay at home moms and part-time working mothers in the Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods are welcome! The group offers local moms a chance to meet up for playdates, fun, and friendship.

The Novi Family Collective (Novi)

The Novi Family Collective is for Novi families and parents. It is a place where families can gather to support and socialize.
